Subi Streets
Subi Streets is a City‑wide initiative that will create a long-term blueprint for how every street and laneway in the City of Subiaco looks, feels and functions.
Streets are more than just for cars. They’re public spaces that can shape community health, happiness and the local economy.
Incorporating the people-centred Healthy Streets approach, the project will develop three key documents that together will guide transport and public realm decisions for the next decade and beyond. These include:
- Movement and Place Framework
- Street Design Guidelines
- Implementation Framework
Integral to the success of Subi Streets is preserving and enhancing the City’s distinctive cultural and heritage.
How to get involved
Your voice matters. If you live, work or spend time in the City of Subiaco (Daglish, Jolimont, Shenton Park or Subiaco), we’d love to hear your ideas about Subi Streets. Whether you are a resident, worker, student, young adult, parent, senior, business owner, visitor, or part of a special interest group – all perspectives are welcome and valued.
We want this framework to be shaped by the community, so that when it’s rolled out, it feels like your plan for your streets. By participating, you can help ensure the final outcomes reflect the City’s collective values and aspirations.
There will be a range of opportunities for you to have your say throughout the project:
- Complete a survey: the survey takes just 10 minutes to complete and will close at 5pm on Sunday 6 July 2025.
- Apply to join the Subi Streets Community Reference Group: help shape the project from day one through to delivery. We’re seeking a mix of residents, business owners and visitors who care about creating safer, greener streets for everyone
- For more information, please refer to the Terms of Reference and submit an online Expression of Interest Form to apply for the group (a hard copy form is also available to print and submit).
- Community Reference Group submissions close at 5pm on Sunday 6 July 2025.
- Visit the listening post at Subi Farmers Market on Saturday 14 June 2025 between 8am and 11am, where you can drop by to chat with the project team and share your thoughts in person.
If you would prefer a hard copy of the survey or Community Reference Group documents, please contact the City via engagement@subiaco.wa.gov.au or 9237 9222.
