About the project

The City of Subiaco is reviewing our Public Art Strategy. Developed in 2011, our current plan is due for review to ensure that it reflects the needs and desires of the community and how we approach public art in Subiaco.

Public art plays a vital role in creating a sense of place within the community. The City of Subiaco is committed to delivering a diverse and vibrant public art program because we believe that public art is vital to community and cultural development. It contributes to a sense of identity and wellbeing by reflecting on Subiaco’s unique character, history and future aspirations.

Our vision is to create a visible arts presence throughout the city with a public art program that engages artists’ creative ideas to celebrate the values of Subiaco – its history, culture and future aspirations – and define Subiaco as a place where people want to be.

The draft Public Art Strategy is available for review in the document library.

Where? Mapping tool

about 3 years

Where would you like to see new public artworks?

We are interested in showcasing public art throughout the whole of City of Subiaco. We've had a focus of art in the town centre and we are interested in sharing the distribution throughout the whole of the city.

Please use the drop pins to let us know about some great locations for artworks, whether they be sculptures, mural or integrated artworks.
