At the City of Subiaco we encourage community involvement to help inform our decision making and we invite you to participate in consultation for the replacement of the decks at Mabel Talbot Park in Jolimont.
About the project
Recently the City has determined that the two existing decks at Mabel Talbot Park can no longer be repaired but require more substantial work and that replacement would be the best option.
We have secured limited grant funding through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program for this project.
The possible options for the deck replacement are:
Two decks in a similar location, style and size to the existing decks.
One larger deck in a similar northern location.
One larger deck in a similar north western location.
The final selection will be based on community feedback and available budget.
The City will also be updating the existing flora and fauna environmental signage as part of this project.

The closing date for submissions was 5pm on 16 February 2022.

Thank you to those who provided feedback. The most popular response was to replace the two decks in a similar location. This work was completed in June 2022 and the decks are now open for the community to enjoy.
