Proposed modifications to Draft Local Planning Scheme No. 5 survey
A planning scheme is a legal document that controls land use and development in a local government. The City of Subiaco is in the process of replacing its existing Town Planning Scheme No. 4 with a new Local Planning Scheme No. 5 (LPS 5). The draft LPS 5 which was advertised in 2018 included blanket densities around Daglish and Shenton Park which were required to be advertised by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
On 7 February 2019 Council supported a modified LPS 5 which removed the blanket densities from Daglish and Shenton Park, and allocated appropriate density in key and appropriate locations. These changes were based on community feedback received during the 2018 consultation period. At the 7 February Special Council Meeting, Council resolved to advertise the proposed modifications for public comment.
The modifications which are currently being advertised are the changes between the advertised version of draft LPS 5 (advertised from 13 April 2018 to 13 July 2018) and the Council supported version of draft LPS 5 from the 7 February 2019 Special Council Meeting. Under the Planning Regulations, public submissions can only be received in relation to these specific changes.
The following questions will guide you through the proposed modifications on the draft Scheme Map (remember to scroll down to see the map) and Text on which submissions can be made. You can choose which modification you wish to comment on, and you may wish to comment or more than one modification.
Feedback received during this process will be presented to Council following advertising. Council will consider the submissions in making a recommendation to the Western Australian Planning Commission.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.
