What do you think of Verge Valet?

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 22 June 2021 Council endorsed a trial Verge Valet Service for a period of eighteen months to replace the twice yearly set-date bulk verge collections.

The City's Verge Valet service started in October 2021 and as this trial period is now coming to an end, we are seeking community input.

Between Friday 31 March and Thursday 27 April we asked the community to take part in this consultation via completing an online survey. This survey has now closed.

What is Verge Valet?

Verge Valet is a bookable, flexible collection service for residential bulk waste. The City started using the service in October 2021 when it replaced the traditional set-date bulk waste collections previously offered by the City. City of Subiaco residents are entitled to two Verge Valet collections per financial year. More information about Verge Valet can be found on the Verge Valet website. Please note: Verge Valet is not a skip bin service.

A hard copy survey can be arranged by contacting the Communications and Engagement team on 9237 9240 or engagement@subiaco.wa.gov.au.

Outcome

At its June 2023 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council decided to return to a bi-annual bulk set date waste collection for residents in early 2024 (subject to contractor availability).

The Verge Valet Service will remain available for residents until this comes into place. Further information will be provided via the City's communication channels as this transition comes into place.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the survey and provide their comments.
