Consultation has concluded

Trillo Road Park is a local park within the city’s park network. The existing play equipment has reached the end of its safe, useful life and is due for removal in 2018. This presents an opportunity to explore the best community usage for the park. This process will be guided by community input, available budget and the city's Playspace Strategy.

Between 11 December 2017 and 22 January 2018 we surveyed residents surrounding the park. This survey is now closed and results are available in the document library.

Of those using the space 70% said that they would like to retain it as a playground while also retaining the greenspace. We have heard this message and contacted playground designers to request designs for the space based on your feedback.

Voting now closed and results are announced!

We received two playspace designs from Forpark Australia and we asked the local community to vote for their preferred playspace.

Option 1 - included a nest style swing, plastic tunnel, platform, alphabet puzzle and slide.
Option 2 - included two side-by-side traditional style swings, plastic tunnel, platform, rope bridge, and shopfront.

Thank you to those who took part. The vote showed that the preferred option is Option 2. For a summary of the results please see the report in the project document library.

Next step

The playspace with the most votes, Option 2, will be installed before the end of the current 2017/2018 financial year. The current play equipment will be removed and replaced. The timeframe is proposed for 1 to 29 June 2018.

If you would like further information please contact the city’s Operations and Environment Services branch on 9387 0942.
