When will the refurbishment commence?

    At this stage, construction is planned to commence early 2026. If the timeline changes, existing hirers will be notified.

    How long will the refurbishment take?

    The refurbishment is estimated to take 8 to 12 months.

    What will happen to existing hirers during the refurbishment?

    The City understands that the SPCC is an important venue for many community groups. During the refurbishment, we will work closely with existing hirers to minimise disruption. Existing long term hirers can be accommodated at the Palms Community Centre.

    Will the City of Subiaco help with relocating user groups?

    The City will provide assistance in identifying temporary alternative venues within the City or nearby, where feasible.

    Will user groups be given priority to return to the SPCC once the refurbishment is complete?

    Existing hirers will be able to resume their activities at the newly refurbished SPCC.

    How will user groups be kept informed of the refurbishment progress and the timeline for returning to the SPCC?

    The City will maintain open communication with all user groups throughout the refurbishment process. Regular updates will be provided through various channels, including direct contact, email, and the City’s website, to keep you informed of the progress and expected return dates.

    Who will do the landscaping for the project?

    Four Landscape Studio have been appointed as landscape architecs for the project.
