Proposal to increase residential density of No. 37 Waylen Road, Shenton Park from R15 to R100

The City of Subiaco (City) invites you to have your say on Scheme Amendment No. 5 to Local Planning Scheme No. 5 (submissions open Friday 11 September 2026).

The City has received an order under section 76 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 for Scheme Amendment No. 5 to Local Planning Scheme No. 5. The Minister for Planning has modified the proposed scheme amendment to increase the density of No. 37 Waylen Road, Shenton Park, from Residential R15 to Residential R100. The City has initiated the amendment to enable it to be considered through the statutory scheme amendment process.

Following the advertising period, Council will consider all submissions received and make a recommendation to the State Government as to whether the amendment should be supported, supported with modifications, or not supported. The Minister for Planning is the final decision-maker.
