The Lake Jualbup junior playground is the playground located at the southern end of the park adjacent to Evans Street.

Play enables children to learn about themselves, others and the world around them. The City of Subiaco values providing diverse and rich play opportunities through our best practice approach to playground consultation, provision, maintenance and inspection.

We invite our community to participate in our consultation for the Lake Jualbup junior playground renewal.

The replacement of the play equipment will be guided by community input, available budget and the City's Playspace Strategy.

How can I be involved?

The junior playground is nearing the end of its safe useful life and this provides an opportunity to explore the provision of play at Lake Jualbup.

Stage two consultation - complete

  • Please review the seven (7) concept options in the Image library.
  • Take part in our survey to rank your preferred options.
  • Stage 2 consultation closed on at 5pm on Thursday 24 August.

The final outcome will be guided by community input, available budget, cultural considerations and the City's Playspace Strategy (2013).

Stage one consultation - complete

During Stage 1 we asked the community to compete an online survey to let us know about current playground use and opinions about upgrade options. The survey closed on Monday 25 July. Thank you to those who provided their input.

This information has been used to inform the design concepts for the space.

Timeline

In addition to community consultation and supply/install of the playground parts, the timeline for the upgrade of the Lake Jualbup junior playground included time to work with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, as Lake Jualbup is a site of Aboriginal importance.

If you would like further information, please contact the City's Operations and Environment Services branch on 9387 0942.
