Proposal to include 17 places on the City of Subiaco Heritage List - 2026
The City of Subiaco (the City) is inviting public comment on the proposal to include 17 places on the Heritage List under the City’s Local Planning Scheme No. 5.
The Deemed Provisions of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015 (LPS Regulations) require local governments to establish and maintain a Heritage List to identify places that are of cultural heritage significance and deemed worthy of built heritage conservation. Inclusion on the Heritage List recognises the heritage significance of a place and provides a level of protection to ensure that any future development and refurbishment is undertaken in a way that respects and enhances heritage values.
In the City, places identified as being of either Exceptional significance (level 1) or Considerable significance (level 2), are presented to Council for consideration for inclusion on the Heritage List. The gradings of heritage significance are outlined in the Heritage Assessment criteria information sheet within the project document library.
The 17 places under consideration for inclusion on the Heritage List are listed in Table 1 below. To view the Heritage Assessment of a property - please click on the link within the table or visit the document library.
