Consultation has concluded.
The City of Subiaco is renewing the current Economic Development Strategy and is keen to understand the perspectives of local residents, property owners, visitors, workers and businesses regarding economic development in Subiaco over the next five years.
This Strategy will outline how the City of Subiaco will drive future economic growth for the benefit of the community. Activities within the Strategy may include:
supporting businesses that are already located here
attracting new businesses
working with business to create new jobs
encouraging residential and commercial developments that fit the area’s character.
How can I give my feedback - consultation for this project has now concluded
Feedback was provided through our online survey (closed Tuesday 18 June 2024). A hard copy survey was provided on request.
How will my feedback be considered?
Community and business feedback will be vital in making sure the City's Economic Development Strategy meets the needs and expectations of the local community.
All feedback received through this process will be considered by the City of Subiaco alongside:
input from representatives of Subiaco- and Perth-based businesses
advice from industry groups, peak bodies and State and Federal Government
technical analysis completed by economists using local, regional, state and national data, trends, reports and forecasts.

Draft summary strategy and technical report received
Economic Development Strategy is currently at this stage
The City received a draft summary strategy and technical report in December 2024. The City continues to work on implementation of the findings of this project, aligning outcomes and actions into other strategic documents such as the City's Council Plan.
