Subi Centro Parking Subiaco

The City of Subiaco is currently undertaking a staged review of parking management across the city, and sought community feedback on the Subi Centro Precinct area, bound by Salvado Road to the north, Tighe Street to the west, Hay Street and Roberts Road to the south, and Station Street to the east.

The purpose of the review is to balance the different needs of all users. This includes residents and their visitors, commercial and retail operators and their customers, as well as daily commuters and workers.

The core objectives of the review are to:

• ensure residential access and amenity for those living in and around the precinct

• encourage regular turn-over of parking adjacent to retail, hospitality and professional services

• open up parking on weekends and evenings so that residents can entertain and visitors can enjoy their time in the area

• minimise confusion about parking restrictions by improving consistency across the city.

In order to achieve these outcomes, the proposed parking management plan included:

• standardisation of parking restrictions across the precinct to apply Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

• removal of parking restrictions on weekends and evenings

• paid parking ticket systems in commercial and professional zones to maximise parking space availability.
