Draft Climate Change Response Plan

Share your thoughts and help us shape the City’s approach to climate change.
The City is preparing a draft Climate Change Response Plan (Plan) focused on mitigating and adapting to climate change. The first section of the plan, Corporate Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction, has been drafted and is open for consultation.
The City’s Corporate Carbon Reduction Plan (CCRP) was endorsed by Council in March 2020, and was established to guide the City’s approach to reducing the organisations’ emissions. To ensure the targets and actions remain up to date we have reviewed the CCRP and commenced the preparation of an overarching draft Climate Change Response Plan.
The reviewed CCRP, now called Corporate Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction, forms the first section of the draft Climate Change Response Plan.
Preparation of the remaining sections of the Plan, community mitigation and corporate and community adaptation, will commence following the endorsement of this first section.
