  • Past projects

    • Rowland Street one-way trial - The city trialed a one-way traffic flow on Rowland Street, Subiaco allowing only northbound movement between Barker Road and Bagot Road for the purpose of improving connectivity in the precinct, reducing congestion on Bagot Road and Rowland Street and reducing potential for traffic accidents. Following the trial, community consultation was sought via a short online survey. You can read more about the project here.
    • Rosalie Park Parking Management Plan - In order to better manage parking facilities at Rosalie Park, a review of the current parking management is being undertaken. The review takes into consideration user patterns and requirements and seeks to find a balance of parking options that address parking matters in this area. Consultation in the form of workshop forums and community consultation via an online survey sought comments on recommendations within the plan. You can read more about the project here.
    • North Subiaco Structure Plan - North Subiaco is identified as part of the Subiaco Secondary Centre under State Planning Policy 4.2 Activity Centres for Perth and Peel. As the area is identified as part of the periphery of the Subiaco Activity Centre, and not part of the centre itself, the different characteristics aren't well represented by an activity centre plan. For this reason, a structure plan for the area has been developed. The plan provides guidance on key subdivision and development considerations, including land uses, building heights, building setbacks and site requirements, public realm improvements and movement network upgrades. Community consultation was sought on the draft North Subiaco Structure Plan to help guide the future planning and development of the area. You can read more about the project and plan here.

    • Subiaco Common Park playspace replacement - As part of the city's 2016/2017 Capital Improvements Program the Subiaco Common Park playspace is set to be replaced. Stage 3 consultation has now closed and the preferred playspace design option has been chosen. You can read more about the project here.
    • Mabel Talbot Reserve playspace replacement - As part of the city's 2016/2017 Capital Improvements Program the Mabel Talbot Reserve playspace is set to be replaced. During Stage 3 consultation you will have a chance to have a say on your preferred playspace.
    • Draft Subiaco Activity Centre Plan - In consultation with the community, the city prepared the draft Subiaco Activity Centre Plan and invited feedback. The plan provides a long-term planning vision to support the economic and social vitality of the Subiaco town centre as an attractive place to live, work, shop and visit. Consultation on the plan is now closed. You can read more about the project and progress here.
    • Positive ageing survey - this survey closed on Wednesday 13 April 2016. A summary of the results from the online survey can be found here.
    • Station precinct heritage survey - The outcome of the community's views on heritage and potential for increased density in the areas surrounding Daglish and Shenton Park train station is now available. You can read more about the project and progress here.
